"Gender Disparity in Churn Rate: Women Employees Leave TCS Post Remote Work"

According to TCS, the largest tech company in India, the attrition rate among its women employees has exceeded that of men. This trend suggests that the end of work-from-home policies may be a contributing factor. Milind Lakkad, TCS's chief human resources officer, stated that historically, attrition among women employees has been lower or similar to that of men. However, the pandemic and remote work arrangements may have disrupted domestic arrangements for some women, leading them to be hesitant about returning to the office even after the situation normalized.

Lakkad acknowledged that this higher attrition rate among women is a setback for TCS's efforts to promote gender diversity within the company. The annual report does not disclose the exact attrition numbers based on gender. Overall, TCS experienced a peak in attrition during the middle of the previous fiscal year, which subsequently decreased to slightly over 20 percent by the end of March.

It is worth noting that this information is based on a specific report and interview published by TCS and may not represent the attrition trends within the entire tech industry.
