The US India Business Council (USIBC) organized the prestigious India Ideas Summit on Tuesday, bringing together a significant number of CEOs from both India and the United States. This summit, which served as a prelude to the upcoming State Visit, centered around discussions related to the anticipated visit and dominated the conversations throughout the event.


As Prime Minister Narendra Modi's State Visit to the United States approaches, leaders from the American corporate sector express their enthusiasm and optimism regarding India. They eagerly anticipate a closer collaboration in areas such as semiconductors, defense, cybersecurity, and telecommunications, aiming for a deepening of technological convergence between the two countries.

The US India Business Council (USIBC) organized the annual India Ideas Summit on Tuesday, bringing together a significant number of CEOs from both India and the United States. This summit, preceding the upcoming State Visit, served as a platform for discussions revolving around the anticipated visit and primarily focused on this topic.

President Joe Biden and First Lady Jill Biden have extended an invitation to Prime Minister Modi for an official State Visit, which will culminate with a State Dinner on June 22.

According to Atul Keshap, the President of the USIBC, the atmosphere at the summit was highly positive and enthusiastic. The impending State Visit has generated a sense of anticipation among the attendees. There is a collective desire to witness a deepening of technological convergence, particularly in sectors such as semiconductors, defense, cybersecurity, telecommunications, 5G, and 6G. The realms of deep tech and future tech present numerous areas of convergence, and stakeholders express a keen interest in fostering further collaboration.

The focus lies on facilitating increased deal flow between the two countries and aiming for a rapid expansion of trade volume, with a target of reaching USD 500 billion.
